FOUNDER/SENIOR PASTOR ROYAL L.
WEBSTER, SR.
Pastor Royal L.
Webster, Sr.,
was born in
Lexington
Mississippi, Holmes
County. He relocated
to Chicago, Illinois
when he was only 11
months of age. After
a somewhat normal
upbringing, which
had the opportunity
to be raised in a
home with both
parents, attended
some of the best
schools that the
city of Chicago had
to offer. He was
married with two
children, a nice
home and promising
career as a Chicago
Tactical Police
Officer working
undercover as a vice
officer, dealing
with drugs,
gambling,
prostitution, etc.
One Friday night
while on duty,
Pastor Webster's
partner suffered a
massive aneurism
which took his life.
He died while they
were on patrol in
the police car.
Pastor Webster and
his partner were
very close friends
for over 15 years.
Even though Pastor
Webster was informed
by doctors that
there was nothing
that he could have
possibly done to
save his partner due
to the size of the
aneurism, he began
to blame himself,
thinking that he
could have gotten
him to the emergency
room quicker.
This soon led to a
deep state of
depression. Pastor
Webster at that time
began to use the
drugs that he was
taking off the
streets of Chicago.
At this time, he was
forced to resign.
Pastor Webster lost
everything he had in
life and became a
homeless drug
addict.
One day, one Sunday
morning, in an
abandoned building,
he cried out to God
and made a promise
to God to serve him
for life. That day
Jesus performed a
miracle in his life.
Pastor Royal L.
Webster Sr., is now
